May 2026 Review

Well, for this month’s review, something that isn’t quite as commercially-popular as Project Hail Mary. In fact, a big part of this movie is dealing with how unpopular it’s subjects turn out being. I saw The Drama, and thought it succeeded incredibly well in what it was trying to do.

It was not as grand or epic as some of the other movies I’ve been able to enjoy this year, but there was still a lot to admire about The Drama. I particularly appreciated how much it dedicates itself to putting its characters through the wringer. They really go through it in this movie, and I think it makes us feel even more endeared to them because of this.
