October 2026 Review

Happy scary season! To kick us off, how about a lovely adaptation of the Resident Evil video game franchise? I’ll take twenty, please. Especially if they’re directed by Zach Cregger. Us Zach’s sure do know what we’re doing, it seems. Anyway, in this review I talk about how the film is an excellent adaptation of the games despite not being a 1:1 translation of their narrative. I touch on how Cregger captures the vibe of the franchise so well and covers so many of the things the games provide for their players, while also being engaging enough for any viewers completely new to the franchise.
