December 2025 Writing Update
Yeah, so I dunno who that moron was last month who thought he was going to finish the screenplay then also crank out the entire novel editing process before month’s end. Didn’t quite get there. In fact, didn’t quite get remotely close.
But, hey! The screenplay was finished, and I was pretty pleased with it. It was a fun thing, even if it was far too long (136 pages). Anyway, speaking of overly-long pieces of work, I got to editing the novel. Just didn’t make it quite as far as I’d estimated in my previous updated. I’m in the process of editing Chapter 6. So, you know, that’s basically done, right? (There are 42 of them.)
So, really, just need to do that like six more times, if the powers of third grade multiplication are anything to go by. Surely all of my chapters are thee exact same length and quality and won’t need any more attention than the ones I’ve already checked out.
Yeah. Yeah. I’ll keep telling myself that. It’s the only thing keeping me on a leash from the whodunit genre again now that Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man came out and I really loved it. Oh…to write a fun mystery…
No. Nope. Need to stay focused. There’s mystery in the horror I’m editing. That’ll do for now. Hopefully.
